SCAR Legacy Integrated Bipod System for FN SCAR 16S & 17S
The BLK LBL SCAR Legacy Bipod is a fore-end extension for the iconic FN SCAR 16S and SCAR 17S rifles. It combines a rigid, free-floating aluminum handguard with a flush-folding integrated bipod in a single unified system. Rather than clamping a traditional bipod to an existing handguard rail, the BLK LBL approach removes the bottom picatinny rail section and replaces it with a purpose-built handguard extension and bipod assembly, where the bipod is integral to the design from the ground up.
The result is a lighter, more balanced, and more consistent shooting platform. Mounting a traditional bipod on the limited rail space of the factory handguard compromises hand placement and comes with additional snag points, disrupted balance and point of impact shifts. This is a truly innovative solution for one of the most iconic modern rifles.
Free-Float Accuracy. Built for the SCAR.
At the core of the system is a true free-floating handguard. It does not contact the barrel or gas block at any point, which preserves the barrel’s harmonic consistency whether the rifle is fired suppressed or unsuppressed, with accessories mounted or without. The extended handguard design allows for a comfortable, modern C-clamp grip and provides M-LOK slots along its length for lights, IR laser illuminators, vertical foregrips, and barricade stops.
For SCAR shooters, the advantages are immediate. The platform that already excels at medium-to-long-range work becomes even more capable when paired with a bipod that preserves barrel harmonics and improves balance without adding snag points or unnecessary bulk.
Center-Bore Cant: Level Stability on Any Surface
The integrated bipod features center-bore cant, rotating around the bore axis rather than below it. Cant adjustment to level the rifle is critical in practical shooting scenarios where the ground is never perfectly flat.
Center-bore cant keeps the pivot point as close to the barrel as possible so the recoil path is straight and predictable, reducing torque on the handguard. For a SCAR shooter, this translates to faster target acquisition and more consistent follow-up shots, even on broken or sloped ground.
Ergonomics, Carry, and Accessory Integration
The extended handguard profile supports a modern C-clamp grip, improving muzzle control during positional and off-hand shooting. M-LOK slots running the length of the handguard retain full accessory compatibility. Lights, lasers, foregrips, and optional ARCA rail sections can all be mounted without compromising bipod deployment or balance.
Unlike a traditional bipod, the BLK LBL integrated system will not interfere with off-hand shooting or shooting from a barricade and will not snag on gear or surroundings. When the rifle is slung, the bipod will not dig into the shooter, making movement far more comfortable over long carries.
